My Prom dress in a new light

Over the weekend, I did a shoot on Georges Island. We took the ferry from the Aquarium and upon arriving, I felt like we were traveling to Shutter Island which was actually filmed nearby. Spooky. Nate Tia, the photographer wanted to use the location and it's distinct, rustic feel against couture-like gowns.

Upon my hunt for a big, dramatic gown, I thought, my prom dress! It is this soft lavender with four tiers of tulle and satin flowing to the ground. I cannot even believe it has been ten years since I have worn the dress and even today, it is still chic enough to put in my shoot. Now, at nineteen, my sister Caroline would model the Cache gown. It all reminds me how I have grown and changed, but I can still step in and feel eighteen again.
