The 2011 MTV Video Music Awards premiered last night and there were many stunning stars. The color of the night was black but there were a few standouts. Thought the show lacked it's usual "wow factor", the celebrities pulled out all the stop in choosing their attire. Below are some of my personal favorites who in their own way stole the show.

| BEYONCE took a chance bearing her new pregnant belly in this orangey-red number by Lanvin. She never sticks to any rules and this is how a pregnant woman should look; sexy and elegant. |

| KATIE HOLMES went for simple chic. The belt breaks up the beautiful lace of this frock and her shoes are delightfully unexpected. |

| SELENA GOMEZ managed to pull off a more adult look with this dress. The long overlay really adds some spice and trendiness. Her hair pulled back was the right choice so this dress could have the stage. |

| ZOE SALDANA looked gorgeous in this Barabara Biu knockout with a deep plunging V-neck bodice. Her shoes added spark to the edgy number. |

| Bravo (!) to my favorite girl Miss BRITNEY SPEARS this Moschino jumper. She really took a step up from her usual VMA looks by being trendy and on point. Her ankle booties are an added extra oomph to an overall "cool" outfit. |
