Exquisite Treasures: Gold West Vintage

Last week I had the pleasure to discover a fabulous new jewelry line called Gold West Vintage. We all know how much I love vintage gems. Owner, Lynn Armstrong, began her career as an interior designer but her love of cocktail rings led her into the gold and silver industry. She came across so many exquisite, one of a kind pieces that were being stowed away or melted that she decided to start collecting these treasures. Alas, Gold West Vintage was born.

I must say that Lynn has quite an eye. As I marveled over all her pieces, I could not find one that I did not enjoy. All of them were so unique and eye catching. Each piece had its own story. They just don't make jewelry like this anymore. The elaborate details and craftsmanship are remarkable. Gold West Vintage has a new client in myself and I am sure many of you to come. As Lynn says, "finding the perfect cocktail ring is like finding the right pair of jeans."

Ride in Style

I hate to drive. Let's just say I'm not very good at it. I become anxious and stressed and always think I'm going to run someone down. When the opportunity to test drive the new 2014 Toyota Corolla for a week came about, I decided to conquer my fears.

The compact bold, blue Corolla arrived and I was immediately excited. The first time back behind the wheel in a long time was a bit nerve wracking. After a spin around the block, I could see why the Corolla is one of 2014's best creations. It's a great size to fit into those tiny city spots. I felt like I had total control and safety while driving. The technology alone was an amazing attraction. Bluetooth services, backup camera, touch screen and apps are there to explore. For those who care most on safety, the new Corolla had eight air bags!

I had a blast and it actually went smoothly. This is the car for me when the time comes. It is sleek and stylish. Who knows, maybe I am becoming a good driver. Just maybe.
