The New Super Models

A super model by definition is a highly paid fashion model who usually has an international following and reputation with major designers and commercial brands. They have branded themselves on name alone. Does this new generation of youth remember Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell and the queen, Kate Moss? They were the original super models in a day when that was like royalty. Now, that kind of celebrity is back in new "it" girls Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner. Their freshness and youthful attitude make us reminisce of the nineties and the impact their predecessors had.

We all know Kendall Jenner from Keeping Up With The Kardashians but since then she has tried to separate herself even dropping her last name in her modeling portfolio. She killed it during NWFW 2015 and is now the new face of Calvin Klein Underwear. Gigi Hadid is another spawn of reality television. Her mother is former model, Yolanda Foster of the Real Housewives clan. Gigi is the face of Guess and now Maybelline while appearing in VMAN, Elle, Grazia, Cleo, Vogue, Sports Illustrated and Paper magazine. She was the most coveted model at Fashion Week this year.

My dreams of being a supermodel are long gone but it's nice to see some fresh, young faces to inspire us again.
