A Ferry Away on Martha's Vineyard

I spent the past two days relaxing in Martha's Vineyard because my boyfriend's grandparents have a house there. I traveled with Justin's family and even the dogs came on the trip with us! We drove the 1hr 1/2 to Woods Hole to take the ferry another 45 minutes. It was beautiful on the ferry as we chose to sit on the upper deck.

We traveled into Edgartown which I fell in  love with. It is simply beautiful. We passed a few landmarks and town treasures. This dog was one of them while walking by a gallery on the water. He looked so timeless in the way he standing, I had to capture him on film. I wonder what his name was?

Next came a store I read about awhile ago in one of my numerous fashion magazines named Portobello Road. It is filled with paintings, antiques, cards, candles, vintage, and a million other trinkets. The design of the store is fantastic it is unforgettable. They use rustic wood benches to display items like frames of memorable sayings.

THIS WAS PAINTED ON THE FLOOR

PICTURES AND A FRAME USED AS A SHELF; BRILLIANT!

I HAVE TO SAY I AM A SUCKER FOR A GOOD SAYING AND I BOUGHT TWO THESE. "KEEP COOL" AND "NOW OR NEVER".
DO YOU SEE THE SHELF HOLDING THE PAINTINGS IS A GORGEOUS MIRROR TOO?

I CAME ALL THE WAY FROM BOSTON TO FIND AUNT SADIE'S CANDLES FROM THE STORE ON MY STREET!
A "GREEN MONSTER" SIGN PAINTED ON RUSTIC WOOD AND MODELED ON AN IRON BENCH.
CELTICS FANS AND AN OVERVIEW OF THE WALLS.
A GUIDE WE ALL COULD USE.
J OUTSIDE THE STORE.

Thanks for sharing my trip with me. Has anyone ever been to Portobello Road?

Your trip looks idyllic and I can honestly say I am incredibly jealous, never been to Martha's Vineyard before but miss Boston and the Cape oh so much. As for Portobello Road, it looks divine and reminds me somewhat of the nik naks you can purchase from Portobello Road Market in London, which I'm guessing may have been their inspiration?!

Oh wow. I wonder if it was? I will have to look into that. The Vineyard is lovely. You must get there someday as I have yet to get to London!
